What a shock to see Richard’s obituary in the paper. My sympathy to his family and friends. I graduated from Lincoln with Richard and we shared a birthday, however he was a year older than I was! As I recall, his father died when he was young, just like my father died shortly after my 16th birthday. To be honest, I really was quite shy in high school, so really never had many friends. We reconnected when he was at Rahr-West. He even invited myself and my partner at that time (now my husband) to a number of visits to the House on The Lake. He was such a gracious host and friend. But then he moved to Milwaukee to live the dream in a big city and as a result we lost track of each other. However I thought of him periodically. He died way too young! His obituary said he died at a Hospice Center, so I don’t know the nature of his death, I only hope he didn’t suffer too long. God’s peace, comfort and Blessing to all of you!
