Sr. Letitia had faith in me – gave me the courage to act on my dreams. She and Dorcas supported me in my quest to teach in Russia, to study at Oxford, to try to unleash the beauty that saves the world. Being raised Lutheran, I’d never known nuns till I met them. I was amazed (and delighted) to share Wells Brothers Pizza with Letitia (on my second trip to DeKoven)! I learned what little I know about football from her. She brought JOY – and faith to my life.
With Letitia and Dorcas it was easy to pray; they created a space where the peace of God was apparent. That peace and goodness needs to be made contagious. When I think of Letitia, I feel that is possible.
I miss her.
