Ludvina “Nina” R. Fletcher

(nee Peterson)
Was called home to the Lord on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at age 100.
Preceded in death by her husband John “Jack”; her son Richard, and her daughter Susan.
Cherished mother to John (Annette) Fletcher, Donna (Thor) Dykstra, Karen (the late Richard) Fletcher, Janice Fletcher, Roy (Betty) Fletcher, the late Susan Schuyler, and Cynthia (Thomas) Jerger. Loving grandmother to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
When her children were small, Nina was a den mother and sewed costumes for her daughters’ dance recitals. Nina was a mother who always welcomed all to her home and made sure everyone was cared for.
In her later years, she enjoyed spending time with her husband at Rush Lake for four to six weeks at a time to enjoy nature. She also loved to travel and visit family. She incessantly knitted, making innumerable sweaters, socks, mittens, hats, scarves, and afghans. These items she gave away to family, friends, and school children. Once she reached retirement age, she became an avid quilter and loved traveling to quilt shows.
Her family and friends always enjoyed visiting with her. They loved to hear her tell stories of her life.
Visitation will take place on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 10 am – 11:30 am at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME (6615 W Oklahoma Ave Milwaukee) with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 am. Interment at ARLINGTON PARK CEMETERY (4141 S 27th St, Milwaukee).
Family would like to extend a special thank you to Accent Care Hospice and the staff at Library Square for their care and kindness.

She will be missed but not forgotten. I worked with Janice and loved it when she would bring her Mom in for a visit. I loved seeing the quilts and especially loved the special cookies. Prayers to the family and especially you Janice. You took good care of your Mom.
