  • VISITATION: Friday, February 10, 2023, at the WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK CEMETERY FAMILY CENTER 12875 W. Capitol Drive in Brookfield from 10:00 am to time of service at 11:00 am. The Rev Christian Wood officiating. Interment to follow.

Called home to the Lord on Saturday Jan. 28, 2023 at the age of 88 yrs. Beloved husband of the late Thea and the late Charlotte. Dear father of Gunther (Jutta), the late Sonja (the late Dan) O’Dwyer, Mario (Karen), Bryant (Liz) Zimmermann, and Michael (Deborah) Hartlaub. Loving grandfather of the late Nicole, Jennifer, Michael (Deborah), Sarah (Darren), Alison (Jon), Tucker, Jacob, Michael, and Joseph. Great grandfather of Nieko, Kaylum, Evalyn, Lydia, Brielle, Declan, Nolan, Logan, and Olivia. Brother of Jurgen (Elizabeth) Hartlaub. Loving companion of Doris Jiskra. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends here and in Germany.

Visitation will take place on Friday, February 10, 2023, at the WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK CEMETERY FAMILY CENTER 12875 W. Capitol Drive in Brookfield from 10:00 am to time of service at 11:00 am. The Rev Christian Wood officiating. Interment to follow.

Al was proud to have come from Germany and start his own business the Al Hartlaub Plumbing Company in 1970. He also was an active member of the Milwaukee Spielmanszug, volunteering for many years at Germanfest.
