Alan
Tavidian

Alan (Huey) Tavidian, 65 of Oak Creek passed away unexpectedly on July 30th,2024.

Alan was born on June 27th, 1959, to Mike and Delores Tavidian.

He was introduced to his wife at the proverbial bar Repa’s.  On September 14th, 1991, Alan married his beloved wife of 32 years Lisa (Aude) Tavidian and together they made Oak Creek their home.

He enjoyed working on small engines, trucks and occasionally farm equipment.  He had a deep love for classic country music and could often be heard singing the song being played in his (Man Cave) Garage.  He was an avid lifelong fan of NASCAR and there wasn’t a race that was missed.  He had an excellent sense of humor and genuine kindness for others.  Of course, his beloved wife was not the only recipient of his relatively frequent “Yes, Dear!”

He was a proud Ford guy through and through and often grumbled if he had to drive other makes and models.  The one thing he absolutely loved was sitting behind the wheel of a tractor and plowing a farm field for hours at a time.  He very much loved and looked forward trips to Arizona and spending time with family with a bonus trip to Las Vegas or any local casino was always welcomed.

In his teenage years he worked on the Wobick farm which was then located on Oakwood Road.

Alan graduated from Oak Creek High School in 1978.

He held various jobs before he started working at Fettig Brother’s Drywall hanging drywall in newly constructed houses.  He then decided to change professions and was a lifetime employee (and honorary family member) of Verhalen Farms/Excavating.

He was preceded in death by his father Mike Tavidian, his brother Stephan Tavidian and his father-in-law Ron Aude and there is no doubt that his dog Haley will be there to meet him on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

He is survived by his wife Lisa (Aude) Tavidian, his mother Delores Tavidian, his sister Joanne (Ken) Wachowski and sister-in-law Cindy Tavidian. Further survived by his mother-in-law Karen Aude and his sisters-in-law Tracie (Chuck) Dachel and Kim (Mike) Konieczny, Nephews, Nieces, lifelong friends Kim and Mark Verhalen and their family, his Godson Rolland Stray and of course his beloved and often spoiled dogs Riley and Tucker.

Alan was not much for tears and at the end of the day he’d ask that loved ones pour out some Jack Daniels instead of pouring out their hearts.

Until we meet again my love! Lisa

I got to know Al at the family gatherings at Karen Aude’s house for the last few years. I always wondered where he disappeared to usually on Sunday afternoons. In talking with the family I now realize his great love of NASCAR. He would find a tv and be glued to it till the race was done. Then there was time for talk. I hope there’s a big screen tv in heaven with cable so he can be happy for all the races to come.
