Meyer, Albert M. “Mouse”

Monday, September 10, 2012, age 80 years. Al was born April 29, 1932 th 8th of ten children of Alice and Albert in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

He attended Milwaukee schools, graduation from Messmer High in 1950. He was joined in marriage to Shirley Hloushek on May 25th, 1968 in Milwaukee.

He served in the Army; active duty from 1950 till 1953, and reserve duty an additional three years in the Reserves. After discharge he attended Marquette University. His work varied in: IBM unit Record Systems, Radio Broadcasting as a Sports Announcer, Insurance and Avdertising Sales, and a Medical Courier for the Marshfield Clinic retiring in 1999.

Al was a huge backer of the baseball and football teams. He served on committees at both national and state level for the American Legion. He held offices as a member of Legion Posts: 54 Marshfield, 537 West Allis, 488 New Berlin, and 192 Franklin. He was also a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings; brothers George, Walter, and Norbert; sisters Evelyn Cluberton, Helen Schmidt and Eileen Karnofsky. He is survived by his wife Shirley, son and daughter-in-law Albert and Tanina, three granddaughters Ava, Sonja, and Una. Also survived by sisters Betty Redlin, Dolores Kath, and Alice Kantin, and numberous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Monday from 9:30-10:30AM at the Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 10:30AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Lung Association appreciated.
