Baranek, Alice A.
(nee O’Konek) Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend, Alice Baranek, 98 1/2, drifted peacefully home to the Lord on January 15, 2014.

Alice was born on a “rock farm,” July 23, 1915 in the tiny Polish-populated farming town of Bevent, WI to Peter and Frances O’Konek. She was one of the eldest of a tribe of ten.

Alice is survived by her children, Darlene, Richard and Dianne; her siblings, her buddy Richard and Adrian, their families, and her many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved Augustus (Gus), her parents and her siblings, Bob, Eva, Mae, Eleanor, Ray (Perchy) and Vi, and myriad family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to help celebrate Alice’s life at the Willow Brook Greens Senior Apartments (17285 W. River Birch Drive, Brookfield) on Wednesday, January 22. The gathering will begin at 11:30 AM with a Remembrance Mass at 12:00 noon and a celebratory reception immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites contributions to St. Mary’s Visitation Parish — earmarked for the O’Konek Education Assistance Program.
