Entered Eternal Life on May 24, 2016, at the age of 86. Loving wife of the late Lloyd Mathwick for 64 years. Caring mother of Kelly Mathwick, Victoria (Karl) Schneider, and Robin (Dale) Cox. Dear grandmother of Mikaela, Abigail, and Luke Schneider, and Madeline and Angela Cox. Sister of Donald (Mary K) Schmidt, MD. Also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Having been raised on a farm in Eagle River, Wisconsin, Alice received her primary education in a one-room schoolhouse, and later graduated as valedictorian of her high school class. She attended UW-Whitewater, and later held secretarial positions at Employers Mutual of Wausau, D.C. Everest School District in Schofield, WI, and at First Midwest Bank in Moline, IL. Alice most treasured her role as mother and grandmother, and will always be remembered for her compassion, encouragement, and love of animals, flowers, and music.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 3rd at 11 AM at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 6705 Northway, Greendale, WI. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 AM until time of Service. Interment at Eagle River Cemetery in Eagle River, WI. Memorials to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church greatly appreciated.
