Dompke, Alvin A. L. Sr. Passed away peacefully on January 8, 2019 at the age of 79. Loving husband of 54 years to Beneta (Bonnie) Ann (Nee Berte). Dear father of Mary Ann Krahn, Alvin (Tony) Jr. (Gail), Steven (Jessica), and Andrew (Karen). Beloved DziaDzia (Grandpa) of Shannon Krahn, Samuel Krahn, Bradley, Alexander Leo (deceased), Bella Mia, Lilliana, and Jerry Dompke. Cherished brother of Jeannette (Max) Vandenberg and Rosemary Dompke, the late Francis (Clare) Dompke, and Mary Ann (Jose) Marchan. Devoted son of the late Frank and Clara (Wojkiewicz) Dompke, and is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Alvin was an Associate of the School Sisters of Notre Dame for over 30 yrs and was a graduate of Don Bosco High School (1959), and the Milwaukee Institute of Technology. He had a lifelong career in Broadcasting, both Producing and Directing a variety of shows. He was a former Board Member of the Milwaukee Archdiocesan Holy Name Union receiving the prestigious “Only Jesus” award in 1995. He was an active member of the Basilica of St. Josaphat and past President of St. Rita Holy Name Society. He had strong devotions to the Blessed Mother and led the Rosary for 20 years at Mt. Carmel. Alvin volunteered his time and talent in Human Concerns at St. Rita, St. Rose of Lima and St. Josaphat Basilica. He was a founding member of Milwaukee Careers Cooperative.

Visitation will be held Wed. Jan. 16, 2019 from 9:00am-10:30am at ST. ANNE’S SALVATORIAN CAMPUS (3800 N. 92nd St.) Mass to follow at 10:30am. Private Entombment at Mt. Olivet.
