Kreishman, Andrew P.
Died April 24, 2014 at the age of 96. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth of 70
years.
Born in Kiev, Russia of Latvian parents, he moved back to Latvia with his family where they lived until Andrew fled Latvia during World War II. While living in Germany at the end of the war, he completed his college education and obtained his degree in architecture. Upon arriving in Milwaukee, Andrew worked as an architect specializing in hospital design. For many years, he was a partner in the firm of Darby-Bogner and Associates. He also designed and built the family home on North 58th St. as well as the Latvian Community Center in Milwaukee.
In addition to his wife, Andrew is survived by two sons, John and George, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a brother Pauls Kvelde in Latvia.
He will be especially remembered for a huge heart and generous spirit, his creativity, artistic skill and his incredible intellect.
Visitation will be held Monday at the Milwaukee Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Holy Trinity Church, 1853 N 75th St. from 11AM-12PM with a service at 12PM. Interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park. If so desired, memorials to the Latvian Church appreciated.
