(nee Upesleja) Passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at the age of 83 years. Preceded in death by her husband Vilis. Dear mother of Rita (Gregory) Jackowski and Viktor (Libby). Loving oma of Kristen, Katrina, Alice and Amanda. Great grandmother of Eric and Ruby. Sister of Karlis (Shirley) and the late Andris. Long time companion and best friend of Gunars Grava. Further remembered by nieces, nephews, friends and relatives here and in Latvia.

A Memorial Gathering will be held Thursday October 8th from 9-10AM at MILWAUKEE LATVIAN EV. LUTHERAN HOLY TRINITY CHURCH, 1853 N. 75th St. with a Funeral Service at 10AM.

As a very young girl, Anna emigrated from Europe to the U.S. just after World War II along with her family. She was an active member of the local Latvian community including her church, Song Festivals, the annual Folk Fair, among others. Her knitting craft was featured in “Wisconsin Folk Art.” Memorials in her name to her church (above) are deeply appreciated.
