Anne Avakian

Avakian, Anne
nee Kamakian passed away peacefully on Wed. Jan. 28, 2009 at age 86. At her side were her husband, Samuel, and family. She was a loving wife and mother to her daughters, Jan Rick Kopatich, Diane Dan Blinka, and Karen Karnig Durgarian. She was surrounded by 9 grandchildren: Kristen, Brian, Dan, Michael, David, Steven, Nicholas, Elise and Andrea whom she loved dearly. Anne graduated from Prospect Hall and became a legal stenographer. She was a devout member of St. John the Baptist Armenian Church where she sang in the choir and was chairperson of Women’s Guild. She was a past Matron of the Daughters of Vartan. Anne is survived by close friends and acquaintances in the church community. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sat. Jan. 31, from 9:30 – 11:30 am at ST. JOHN’S CHURCH, 7825 W. Layton Ave., Greenfield, WI followed by the funeral service. Memorials appreciated to St. John the Baptist Armenian Church.
