Anne Louise Lipak, age 65, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin passed away Thursday, February 13th, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer. Anne was born August 14, 1959, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
She graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1977 and went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Western Michigan University, followed by a Masters in Business Management from Aquinas College. She worked at Amerisure as an office administrator. She married Robert Lipak on June 20, 1992.
Anne was beloved by all who knew her. She enjoyed reading, sports, caring for her pets, relaxing at the beach, and traveling with her husband of 32 years, Robert. Her family will remember her as being smart, lighthearted, and having a great sense of humor. She was a generous sister and aunt, sending birthday cards and gifts to her nieces and nephews without fail for the duration of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. John and Noreen Wurz and her brother Thomas Wurz. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Robert Lipak; brothers John (Dana) Wurz and Michael Wurz; sisters Mary Wurz and Ellen Carter; nieces Tracy (Adam) Thomson, Suzanne (Aaron) Alva, Stephanie (Jeff) Marquez, and Meredith (Yohann) Dyke and nephews John (Morgan) Wurz and Joseph (Allison) Wurz; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the healthcare team members who cared for Anne during her final months of life. They also express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Brian Buggy, MD, for his compassionate, expert, and exceptional care. A memorial stone will be placed at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center Healing Garden in Anne’s honor. The family also extends heartfelt thanks to Michelle Kesich of Heritage Square Facility for the concern and care she provided to Anne throughout her stay.
The family will receive guests at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, on March 15, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. A memorial service will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the Wisconsin Humane Society.
