Anne S. Schmidt

Anne Sophie Schmidt, age 83, of New Berlin, passed away on Wednesday August 8th at AngelsGrace Hospice, Oconomowoc, Wis. with family by her side.

Anne was born on November 29, 1928 in New Holstein, Wis., the daughter of Bartel and Wanda Hansel Hoekstra. On October 16th, 1954, Anne married Walter Schmidt of Milwaukee, Wis.

Survivors include sons, Scotty, Kurt Karen, and Walt; daughters, Jeanne and Bonnie; grandchildren Katie, Hannah, and Andrew; sister Marie Norbert Barthels, sisters-in-law Florence Rahn and Lillian James Martens; ten nephews and nieces; grand-nephews and nieces, and cousins.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband Walter, sister Emmy Henschel, brother’s-in-law John Henschel and Adolph Rahn, and sister-in-law Margaret Waits.

Visitation for Anne Schmidt will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Grace Church, 4800 South Calhoun Road, New Berlin, WI 53151. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 PM.
