Arnold W. Nelson
of Town of Raymond, Arnie age 81yrs. passed away at Burlington Memorial Hospital on Monday June 10, 2002. He was born in South Dakota on March 27, 1921 to Peter W. Nelson and Stella Painter and had been a lifelong resident of the Town of Raymond. On Feb. 9, 1946 at Raymond Congregational Church he was united in marriage to Louise Jensen who preceded him in death on May 30, 1994. Arnie was a retired employee of the Racine County Highway Department, where he worked for over 33 years. He was a member of North Cape Lutheran Church. Arnies interests included growing flower and vegetable plants at home. Surviving are his daughter Janet Paul Ruppel and sons Duane Terri Nelson, Jerry Barb Nelson, and Marvin Cindy Nelson. Loving Grandfather of Dan, Laura, Colleen Joe Nehmer, Emily Craig Klepel, and Neil Ruppel, Gary Jenni Nelson, Angel Kurt Lekschas, Megan and Peter Nelson, and Brittany and Benjamin Nelson. Great Grandfather of Sophie and Oliver and Lauren and Morgan. Further survived by sisters, Elna John Hansen, Nora Bulgrin, and Esther Ron Swan, and brother, Arvid Marcy Nelson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise, his sisters, Ruth and Ruby, and his brother John”Wally”. Funeral services will be held at NORTH CAPE LUTHERAN CHURCH, Hwy 45 and West Five Mile Road, on Thurs June 13,2002, at 11:30 am with the Rev Donald Johnson officiating. Burial will be in North Cape Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Thurs from 9:00 until 11:30 am. If so desired memorials to North Cape Lutheran Church appreciated.
