Warnke, Arthur August
Formerly of Wausau, presently of Waukesha, WI. Monday, January 13, 2003, age 83 years. Born in Stratford, WI on January 18, 1919 to August and Hattie Nee Radatz. He resided in Stratford until he was 18 years old, then moved to Wausau, where he lived until 1996. On May 18, 1941 he married Arlene Mae Nee Riege in Pine City, Minnesota. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He worked for Weyerhaeuser Company as an accountant for over 35 years until 1977. He was a charter member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Wausau, and enjoyed playing cards, fishing and spending time with his family.
Arthur is preceded in death by his beloved wife Arlene M. Warnke. He is survived by his daughter Mary E. Warnke of West Allis, WI, and son Ronald A. Kathie Warnke. Grandfather of Heather Sam Stair, Amber Guenther, Chad Shannon Warnke and Robin Norbert Latz. Great-grandfather of Mackenzie and Molly Warnke, and Alyssa and Anna Latz. Also survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by a sister Gertrude Buhmann and brother Emil Warnke. Funeral services Thursday, January 16, 2002 at 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Rev James Aderman officiating. Burial will be Friday, 1:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Stratford, WI. Visitation will be Thursday, 10 AM until time of service at the Funeral Home.
