Arthur D.
Johnson
Arthur D. Johnson, forever husband, loving and cherished father, grandfather, great grandfather and dear friend passed away Monday March 18th 2019 to navigate the heavenly waters, fly on Eagles Wings and cruising the never ending freshly groomed trails. He was held in the arms of his beloved family in the home he built and loved as he joined hands with his eternal father.
Art was always the first to give a helping hand and provide countless suggestions as we all know. The lord gifted him with a mind geared for designing, building and repairing just about anything. Rest assured the sound of thunder may be a hammer, saw or a wrench doing a bit of reconstruction or fixing in the heavens above.
Known to his boating friends as the captain of The Sea of Dreams and the gate keeper of “Arts Parts”, he was a wonderful man who would give advice, desired or not, and was always willing to reach out to all in need of his guidance, help and support. Family gatherings, friends and laughter from near or far combined with coffee, donuts, cookies, pie, ice cream and of course coke with no ice is what brought joy to his life.
Art is survived by his wife of 60 plus years, Sharon (Sherry), daughter Tammy/Edward Carow, son Jeffry/Lisa Johnson. Five beautiful grandchildren, Jennifer/Matt Frahm Nicole/Matthew Bown, Kristen/Ryan Moldenhauer, Dayna Johnson/Michael and Jasen/Emily Johnson. Great granddaughter Hannah Frahm.
Because Art believed deeply in giving back, please in lieu of flowers, donations to Vitas Hospice Care or Stars and Stripes Honor Flight would be greatly appreciated.
A service of joy celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Heritage Funeral Home, 16880 W National Ave. New Berlin, WI.
