Paules

Audrey Mae Paules, 70, of Hartland, Wisconsin, and longtime resident of Greenfield, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Monday October 29, 2018 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice.

Audrey was born on December 16, 1947 to George and Pauline Fehrer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a young girl, Audrey enjoyed singing and dancing as well as developing a life-long enjoyment of playing card games.

Audrey met the love of her life, Clarence, at the USO in Milwaukee. She gave him a colorblindness test that he failed; on purpose. The two married on February 22, 1969 in Milwaukee. After living on the naval base in Charleston, South Carolina, Audrey and Clarence returned to Milwaukee.

Clarence and Audrey had four sons: Andrew, Russell, Jeffrey and Gregory. The family enjoyed telling stories and laughing together and going on family vacations.

Audrey enjoyed making home videos, crinkling entry forms to win almost any contest she entered, traveling, and seeing bears. One of Audrey’s favorite travel destinations was Yellowstone National Park. She made several car trips to Yellowstone to see (and record) the scenery and wildlife.

Audrey is survived by her husband of 49+ years Clarence, sons Andrew (Sherly), Russell (Lara), Jeffrey (Nicole), and Gregory (Jeannette) as well as by her brother Leonard Fehrer and her sister Carol (Michael) Smul and her four grandchildren: Alyssa, Madison, Sabrina, and Hansel.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Pauline, her grandson Aiden and her sister-in-law Doreen.

The family would like to thank the staff of
Aurora Zilber Family Hospice for their nurturing and their compassion.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday November 10 at 3:00 PM at Divine Peace Lutheran Church 3203 South 76th street Milwaukee. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 at Divine Peace. A private interment will follow at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
