Went to rest in the arms of the Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at age 74 after a brief battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Robert Thomas and late Edward Gawelko. Cherished mother of Lizbeth George Snyder, Glenn Jill Thomas and Alan Rebecca Thomas. Loving grandmother of Adam, Erica, Jessica, Amanda, Haley, Taylor and Ava. Great-grandmother to Chase, Adelyn, Garrett, Carter, Payton and Graceann. Survived by siblings Mary Ann Pabich, Dick Piotrowski and Robert Piotrowski, many nieces and nephews, and numerous beloved friends.

Barbara was a woman with an immense heart who never stopped giving and will be greatly missed.

Visitation Friday, January 6 at the funeral home from 5-8 pm. Visitation also on Saturday, January 7 from 9:30-10:00 am at ST. MATTHEW CHURCH, 9303 S. Chicago Rd., Oak Creek with Funeral Mass being held at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
