Meyer, Barbara “Barb” nee Schultz

Passed peacefully into Heaven on Thursday Nov 17th 2016, at the age of 80. Beloved wife of the late Glenn. Dear mother of Sheryl (Terry Patzke) and sister of Beverly Timm (Rockwood, MI). Also survived by nieces and nephews Debra (Lance) Klotz, Steve (Lidia) Timm, Paul Timm, Lori (Bob) Kostevich, and great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Alice Schultz (nee Cannon), sister Joanne Hintz, brother in laws Donald Timm and Donald Hintz and nephew Mark Timm.

Barb was the 2nd woman to graduate from Valparaiso University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. She served on the Greendale School Board for 24 years. She served on the Wisconsin Association of School Boards for 10 years and served as president in 1984. She was also appointed to the Greendale Planning Commission for many years. Barb worked as a software engineer at Johnson Controls and Rockwell Automation. Barb was a long time faithful member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Greendale. Memorials appreciated to the Meyer Family Scholarship for Women Engineers at Valparaiso University (Valparaiso, IN), The Greendale Education Foundation (6815 Southway, Greendale), Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, Greendale (5901 Westway, Greendale).

Visitation at OUR SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5901 Westway, Greendale, on Saturday Nov 26 from 10-12pm with Service to follow at 12pm. Private interment Arlington Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
