Barbara Lee Richardson

Barbara Lee Richardson passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024 in Greenfield, WI.
She was born on February 28, 1936 in Berkeley, CA and spent most of her childhood in New Washington, OH. She graduated from White Cross School of Nursing in Columbus, OH, then married Benson Lee in 1959. After living in several states, they settled in Green Bay where Barbara was a homemaker to their four children. She loved sewing, biking, and being outdoors. Barbara was also an avid swimmer, quilter, blood donor, and volunteer at church and in the community, wherever there was a need.  She was always a ray of sunshine with a generous heart and will be missed greatly. Her legacy continues with all those with whom she shared her love.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Doyle Scheer, her sister, Sylvia Shoup, and her brother, David Scheer. She is survived by her husband Benson Lee Richardson, her sister Deb Fleischman (Dan), her children:  Mark Richardson (Miriam), John Richardson (Jill), Karen Admussen (Chris) and Laura Harris (Wade), 11 grandchildren:  Moriah, Dora, Lydia, Melanie, Brianne, William, Anastasia, Ethan, Sydney, Selena, Greta and 2 great grandchildren:  Henry and James.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 2 at Heritage Funeral Home (4800 S 84th St. Greenfield, WI). Visitation is from 11:30-12:30; memorial service is at 12:30.
Memorials, if desired, may be gifted to Golden House or Paul’s Pantry.

    I have many fond memories of Barbara from spending time at Maison de Richardson on Bordeaux Rue in Allouez. She was such a nice person and made your home a welcome place for several classes of cross country kids. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
