Bella Evelyn Dewan

Bella Evelyn Dewan met Christ in Heaven on July 30, 2016, when she slipped away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 97. She was born in Rajpura, India to Baptist Minister, Rev. Hamesh Das, and his wife, Bhagwati. As the eldest daughter and 6th of 11 children, she was preceded in death by all of her siblings and husband, Roshan Lall Dewan.
Bella is survived by her two sons and their families, Anil Dewan and his wife Deepa, and Sunil Dewan and his wife Rakhee. Her 6 grandchildren grew up with her and were dear to her heart, Chantel Anju Hendrickson (married to Eric Hendrickson), the late Andrew Dewan, Moni Orsillo (married to Matthew Orsillo), Asha Dewan-Erickson (married to Jesse Erickson), Amber Cooney (married to Matthew Cooney), and Alyssa Dewan. She was also loved by her 7 great-grandchildren, Jonah, Caleb, and Micah Hendrickson, Bella and Christian Jacob (CJ) Erickson, Anaiya Orsillo, and Kiera Cooney.
No one else had a spirit quite like Bella, who always welcomed an exciting adventure, good story, or new friendship. Throughout her life and until her last days, she remained steadfast in her love of laughter and the Lord, never succumbing to any challenges, pessimism, or discouragement. Bella was truly one of a kind and will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
