Bernard was raised to help others, traveling to Minnesota to help his Uncle on the farm, and following in his father’s footsteps as a career Carpenter after signing up for the Marines at the age of 17, to later support the military as an aircraft mechanic during the Korean War. He shared his love for the outdoors, teaching family members to fish, hunt and appreciate nature and all its beauty. He truly served others with his time and talents.
