Bernice died on January 12 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born on March 5, 1922 to Anton and Helen Kuehne, who predeceased her, along with her sister, Ruth. Bernice married William Bell in 1956 and became a step-mother to his 4 daughters, Mary Virginia Keegan, Judith(James) Walczak, Barbara Badura, and Kathryn Michael, all of whom survive her. She is also survived by grandchildren and great – grandchildren. Bernice lovingly cared for the girls and Bill until his death in 1995.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 18th at St. Mary Faith Community (9520 W. Forest Home Ave., Hales Corners) between 1-1:45PM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 PM. Interment at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Mary will be appreciated. Special thanks to the staff at Layton Terrace and Vitas Hospice for their care.
