Betty Jean Kling
(nee Scholtz)
Went to be with the Lord on September 7th, 2023, at the age of 95.
Betty was the only daughter of the late John and Ethel Scholtz, sister to Ted (Shirley) Scholtz, the late John (Marie) Scholtz, and the late Bob Scholtz . She is the beloved mother of Linda (Greg) Gruber. Additionally, Betty is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Betty loved to be on the go, driving anywhere. She enjoyed family gatherings and seeing the little ones. Betty had an infectious smile and laugh and endearing expressions that made even casual acquaintances feel loved. She had a beautiful sense of humor, quick wit and strong determination. Frank Sinatra and Brett Favre were her guys. She was proud of her independence and fulfilled her wish to be at home when the Lord called her.
She is truly loved and will be immensely missed.
A memorial visitation at Heritage Funeral Home, 9200 S 27th St, Oak Creek, WI 53154 on Thursday, September 21, 2023 beginning at 10am with a 12pm service.
Interment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park in Oak Creek.
This is a beautiful write up, Linda. Betty has been a part of my life for 50 years. She was so good, kind and caring to my four children. I have so many memories of Betty, numerous. (Her little red car, every kids birthday, ice cream desserts, and on and on.) I will miss not wondering how she is and thinking to call her, but then always knowing she was in her daughter’s very capable hands. What a long life! How fortunate we all were. Love Shirley.

Our Condolences! I remember sneaking over to your house to visit for a little while and tease your dog. Your mom was always nice to me and secretly I wanted you for a sister cause I thought you were lonely and needed a friend. Your mom lived a full life and she will never leave your heart so you were lucky to have her so long and I hope you find peace. Think of all the memories you have with her there will be special places in your heart for those moments. Love Cig!!!
Linda, Your mom was Stellas’s best friend, and she always said Betty was the nicest, kindest person she ever knew.
Betty, Stella and the other “Golden Girls” are back together again.
So sorry for your loss.
Love, Gary and Nancy
Gary, so nice to hear from you. Thank you for the nice comments. My mom was a gem.
