Nee HoeftSaturday, Dec. 9, 2006, age 86 years. Beloved wife of the late LeRoy N. Meyer. Mother of Barry Jeanne Meyer, Warren Heather Meyer, Candace Tischendorf and Janine Thomas Skemp. Grandmother of Angela Jeff Wissink, Allison Charlie Klein, Brenda Tischendorf, Erin Tischendorf and Dylan and Meredyth Skemp. Great-grandmother of Olivia and Mia Wissink. Sister of Elta Kell and Lothar “Bud” Eunice Hoeft. Sister-in-law of Margaret Meyer. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Backmann.
Funeral service Monday, Dec. 18 11AM at the funeral home. Rev. Dale Reckzin officiating. Interment Arlington Park Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home Sunday from 4-7PM and Monday at the funeral home from 10AM until the time of service11AM.
Mrs. Meyer, together with her husband and family, operated Meyer Apple Orchards in Oak Creek. She was a longtime superintendent of the Family Living Center at State Fair Park and was involved with the Oak Creek Historical Society.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff of Tudor Oaks Health Care Center and VITAS Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Oakwood Road, appreciated.
