(nee Oelke) Called home to Heaven on Friday, September 2nd, 2016, and left us with 86 years of warmth and memories. Beloved wife of the late Ervin for 57 years. Loving and caring mother of Michele (Gordon) Lesser, Kristie (Todd) Grunze, and Melinda “Sam” (Frank) Krajewski. Dearest Grandma “Oma” of Mike (Jenny) Lesser, Rebecca Cummings, Sarah (Ben) Ortiz, Justin (Jill) Grunze, Jennifer (Tim) Hauf, Andy Grunze, Kelly, Tracy (fiancé Erik McKenna) and Jake Carstensen. Proud great-grandma of Ashley, Luke, and Caitlyn Lesser, Molly, Jordan, Emma, and Joey Cummings and Mariah, Grace, Alaina and Sam Ortiz, Noah, Jonah, Mia, and Zayah Grunze, Abby and Caleb Hauf. Sister of the late Arlet (the late Lee) Kebbekus, the late Earl (the late Rose) Oelke, and Claudette (the late Thomas) Kearn. Sister-in-law of Dorothy (the late Frank) Orlando, the late Gene (Sylvia) Drall, and Patricia Drall. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Beverly was a bookkeeper for Drall Builders for 17 years. She was a member of the Franklin Jr. Woman’s Club where she served as president, was active in various 4th of July Commissions, and will be remembered for her famous Christmas Craft Shows. Her love of nature, animals, teddy bears, and antiques kept her busy.
She leaves behind her strength, smiles, and love felt by all who knew her.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8th from 4-7pm at ST. PAUL’S EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 6881 S. 51st St, Franklin, with a memorial service to follow at 7pm. Private interment Woodlawn Cemetery.
