Of Mukwonago, died Tuesday December 17, 2002 at the VA Veteran?s Hospital in Milwaukee at the age of 77years. Born to parents Charles and Minnie Eta Rath nee Guest on November 24, 1925 in Louisville, Kentucky. Carl attended all grades of school in Mukwonago, WI. On August 10, 1953 He married his bride Iris ?Mickey? nee Dailey in Dubuque, Iowa, and have been lifetime residents of the Mukwonago area. Carl spent many working years as a Stone Mason and was a member of the Chosin Few, the East Troy VFW, the Commanders Club and the First Congregational United Church of Christ in East Troy. He was also a proud member of the US Marines.
Carl is survived by his wife Iris ?Mickey? of Mukwonago, seven children: Randy of Twin Lakes, Laurie Tom Materna of East Troy, Mark Rose of Greenfield, James Mae of Havelock, N.C., Vincent Gina of Texas, Kenneth Kate of East Troy and Kelleen Rath of Waukesha. Sister: Mary Wayne Rittler of Colorado and Jean Ralph Husten of Waukesha, 15 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, other relatives and many close friends also survive him. Carl is preceded in death by his parents, a son Carl Peter and a brother Mearl.
A Visitation will be held Thursday Dec. 19, 2002 from 4-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday Dec. 20, 2002 at 10:30 AM at FIRST CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST 2931 Union St. East Troy with a visitation from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Interment with Military Honors at Oakridge Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Christian Children?s Fund appreciated.
