Carol O. Kusmierczyk (Nee Weyer)

Carol Weyer Kusmierczyk, 86, died after a short illness, December 24, 2024, at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital, Milwaukee. She was born February 27, 1938 in Sussex, Wisconsin, the daughter of Charles “Carl” Weyer and Agnes Basting Weyer. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by the love of her life, Don Kusmierczyk, her husband. They were married on August 14, 1965. Jack Basting, a cousin, also predeceased her.

Left to cherish her memory is special friend, Gracie Sherer, cousins, Barb Basting (John Uecke) of Brookfield, Kaye Nearhood, of Milwaukee, Jim Basting (Maureen) of New Berlin, JoAnne Basting (Jack) of Menomonee Falls and Terry Smith of Mars Hill, North Carolina. She is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Carol and Don loved traveling the country, hiking, cultural activities and their church. Her later years were spent happily at St. Rita’s Square where she continued to enjoy life and had many friends.

A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at St. Rita’s Church 1601 N. Cass St. Milwaukee 53202 from 10:00am-11:00am followed by a mass at 11:00am.
