Charleene M. “Chuckie/Char” Benzel
(nee Paepke) of Union Grove, WI. Called home to the Lord on Monday September 4, 2023 age 78 years. Beloved wife of Jerry Benzel. Dear mother of Jeffery (Lori) Gore, the late Deborah McCumbee, Craig (Jodi) Benzel and Rhonda (Dan) Deaver. Loving grandmother of Jeffery Gore Jr, the late James Gore and the late Kayla Richie. Sister of Dianne (Dan) Kraft, Sharon Visintainer and Carole Zarling. Sister-in-law of Ken Benzel, Sharon Schwartz, the late Dale Benzel, and Kathy (Gary) Lindley. Further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

You have my sympathies. I am one of seven of Vincent and Betty’ Nell “tribe”. Emma Nell, sister of Art and Hertha, was my grandmother. We rarely interacted with Art’s family but when we did, it was a fun, happy time. My husband Peter Jung and I currently live in Scottsdale AZ but will be heading back to WI next year permanently. Again, our sympathy to entire wonderful family.
It’s is with heavy heart that we remember our dear friend , Char! She had a spirit and smile that made everyone feel welcome! Her trip with us to El Salvador proved her love of people crossed all boundaries! She will be missed! RIP Char!
