Born in Chicago, IL on August 25, 1922. Passed away on April 6, 2010 in West Allis, WI. Charles is survived by Rita, his wife of 60 years; daughters Cheryl George Dyer Brandt of TX, Deborah Brandt of CA, Laurie Michael Nolan, Judith Brandt of NV and Jill Mark Schley; grandchildren Gregory Tania Avello, Erin Joseph Refsland, David Dyer, Thomas Dyer and Sierra Brandt-Gray; great-grandchildren Noah Refsland and Jenson Avello. He is also survived by his brother Richard Carolyn Brandt; brother-in-law John Sylvia Dietz; sisters-in-law Susan the late Thomas Brandt and Mary the late Robert Herwig, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 10am – 11:30am at the FUNERAL HOME followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30am. Private entombment Valhalla Memorial Park.

Charles served in the Army from 1942-46 in the China/Burma/India Theater during World War II. He graduated from Marquette University with a Masters Degree in Accounting and Business and worked at General Electric for 33 years. He and Rita were long-time residents of West Allis, the last six years living at The Village at Manor Park.

Charles enjoyed tennis regularly into his 70’s and participated in the Senior Olympics in San Antonio, TX.
