Christopher Dana Whitlock

“Peacefully reunited with his brothers, Daniel and Jonathan on Wednesday, September 13,2023 at the age of 49 years. Beloved son of Anne L. and Dr. Donald Whitlock. Dear brother of Jennifer (Doug) Shiery, Elizabeth (Chris) Bogadi and Paul Whitlock. Loving grandson of Colleen Whitlock having been preceded in death by other grandparents, Howard Dana Whitlock, Rev. E.H. Wendland and Betty Wendland. Uncle of Magdelyn and Paige Shiery, and Logan and Laiken Bogadi. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Chris attended Wisconsin Lutheran High School and graduated in 1992. He then went into the United States Navy where he served from 7/15/93-11/18/94 and was honorably discharged. He held successful careers in the mortgage and insurance industries…and was one of the best sales people around.

Chris will always be remembered for his sense of humor. There wasn’t a situation where he couldn’t make a new catch phrase or a made-up song. One of his favorite places on earth was at the family cabin in Minocqua, Wisconsin – where he not only made countless memories with his family, but also with his closest friends. He loved a good tradition, and this will remain one of them.

Although his time on earth seemed far too brief, we are grateful that he is now in eternal Paradise with our Lord and Savior. Visitation with the family will begin at 1pm with the service at 2pm.  Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 1209 North Broadway in Milwaukee on Friday, October 27th at 2pm, with a gathering to follow at Grace Center, 250 E. Juneau, Milwaukee, WI 53202. (414) 271-3006

Any memorial contributions can be made to Wisconsin Lutheran High School, which held a special place in his heart.”

I was one of Chris’s neighbors. I could always tell who was winning the game at the time by how Chris would yell or cheer at his tv. We always had great conversations and a bunch of laughs! I am going to miss you!!

Chris used to call me every day , wanting to talk football, food, restaurants or just to cheer me! He always wanted to know how I was feeling! I miss him but know he is not feeling any pain and is with his brothers Danny and Jonathan. I miss his phone calls!

So sorry to hear of the passing of Chris. I had just come across this news today. Years ago Chris was a customer of mine and I always enjoyed stopping in and seeing him. Our discussions were usually 50/50, work and sports.
