When I saw the ladybug quote, I got teary eyed. It brought back many memories of the years Colette and I worked closely together as teachers at Raymond School. Colette was a good person and loved her family. She also loved her students and wanted them to succeed. We laughed together often at the comical things that happened in the classroom.

Colette had a first grade boy who had a rough home life and came to school hungry and exhausted. In those days, it took a lot for outside intervention. So your mom had this little guy come to my room every morning with the cereal she gave him. I had a bean bag chair in the corner of my room where he wouldn’t be visible and we let him sleep for a half an hour every morning. That was the kind of teacher she was. She will be remembered and missed.
