Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Riemer

Was called home to the Lord on Friday, June 14, 2024, no longer suffering from cancer. Beloved daughter of Delores. Sister of Candace (David) Riemer-Smith and John (Jody). Aunt of Isabel and Noelle. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Cindy enjoyed life to the fullest by bringing a sunny smile to each person she met, and she always could make everyone laugh.
Throughout her career, Cindy worked in the food industry. Most recently, she worked as a dietician for nursing homes, and her greatest accomplishment while there was bringing in liquor for their happy hour.
Some things Cindy enjoyed doing were reading, traveling, bowling when she was young, and volunteering. She volunteered with many organizations including Grace Lutheran Church, German Fest, and different summer camps for the handicap.
Family would like everyone to always remember who Cindy was- a true friend with a positive attitude no matter what was happening in life with a heart that cared.
A memorial visitation will take place on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 4 pm – 6 pm at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME (9200 S. 27th St. Oak Creek) with a memorial service at 6 pm.
The family wishes to thank the Froedtert Hospital cancer team for their care and kindness and Horizon Hospice for the care in her final days of life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Cindy’s memory are appreciated to the Froedtert Hospital Foundation- Cancer Research Center and to Grace Lutheran Church of Oak Creek.

I have so many memories with Cindy. We played as kids, tossing snowballs from ditch-forts across the street, riding bikes, bowling with the Damn Fools, playing softball for Meyerring’s Pub, rafting the Peshtigo and stopping for corn in Husher. We shared so many laughs of which Cindy’s giggle was always the start of a hilarious story. Cindy’s silly grin meant something was planned, or something just happened; some new adventure with her scooter, a plan for her Halloween scheme, whatever. She will be remembered for bringing smiles to those who new her. I cannot think of her without smiling. I love you Cindy and will miss your energy.

So proud to call Cindy a friend and Godmother to our son Joshua Downs. We played softball, volunteered for camp, traveled together and so many other memories. Thank you Cindy for your love and your support no matter what we were going through. A true friend who will be missed. Love you and find Tom in heaven! Cheryl
