Dallas Harold Heine entered eternal rest with Jesus on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at age 93. Dallas was born to Harold and Dorothy Heine on November 22, 1926 in Bay City, MI. Dallas married the love of his life, Marie, on November 25, 1950 and recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Dallas was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served on the USS Tutuila during WWII. He had the great honor to be on the Honor Flight in April 2017. After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy, Dallas worked as a heavy Equipment operator in Kentucky and eventually became the Job Estimator for Gary D. Steadman Construction of Bay City. Dallas finished his career at Rehmann Robson in Saginaw where he retired in 1995 as a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist.

Dallas served in many ways at the Boys and Girls Club, Optimist Club, and American Legion. His life’s dedication was to serve his Lord and Savior. Dallas was a dedicated servant at his home congregations serving as an usher, reader, greeter, communion assistant, Elder, and President of the congregation.  Dallas also served as member of the International Lutheran Laymen’s League beginning in 1972 doing presentations about the Lutheran Hour Ministry. He held many positions on the local, state, and international level for over 40 years. He loved their mission of Bringing Christ to the Nations. Dallas read his Bible and devotions daily and lived his life for the Lord. The greatest inheritance he left his 6 children was bringing them to the waters of Baptism and nurturing their faith. He was a good and faithful servant.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marie; children Darryl (Joyce) Heine, Brad (Sandy) Heine, Anne (Tim) Czap, Mark (Anne) Heine, Gleason Heine, Rebecca (Steve) Kurkowski; siblings Gary (Sue) Heine and Joan Burt; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings Darwin (Delores) Heine, Gleason (Helen) Heine, Garwood (Florence) Heine, brother-in-law George Burt; daughter-in-law Janie Heine; and great granddaughter Haley Apple.

So sorry to hear about your loss. We have fond memories of Dallas through the Bay City Optimist Club. Also, Rebeca used to babysit for us. Our son Paul attended church in Napa, CA, and met Mark there. We all send our condolences.
