Rendon, Daniel Cortez
Age 88, was called to eternal life on 8/2/09. Daniel was born on 1/16/21 to his parents Alberto Salazar Rendon and Maria Dolores Cortez Rendon in DeWitt County, Texas.
He had been married to his childhood friend and love of his life, Aurora for 67 years and are the parents of 5 children: Daniel Ozuna Rendon Rhonda, Evangeline Annette Reynolds, James Anthony Rendon, John Christopher Rendon Noreen and Victor Joel Rendon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters, son Victor Joel and granddaughter Tammy Rendon Orth. The pallbearers will be Daniel’s grandsons Jason Reynolds, Todd Rendon, Robert Reynolds, Guy Wenzel, Adam Reynolds, and Jared Plant.
Daniel was a charter member of Catholic War Veterans St. John’s Post in Texas. A member of St. Anne’s Parish in Milwaukee for 30 years, active in Altar Society, Dartball, and Boy Scouts of America. Loved to play his guitar and sang with the Laff Fun Band at St. Anne’s Parish.
A member of St. Florian’s Parish for 20 years his health did not allow much parish activity. He played Dartball and belonged to the 59’ers senior group which he enjoyed. Daniel was also a charter member of American Legion Valdez Post 529.
He enjoyed his 11 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Fri. Aug. 7th at St. Florian Church, 1233 S. 45th St., at 9AM. There will be a visitation at the FUNERAL HOME Thurs. from 5-7PM. Interment Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI.
