Rest in peace, dear friend. May your jokes echo through eternity, bringing smiles to all who hear them.
You will be dearly missed, but your laughter will live on in my heart forever.
Until we meet again, keep them laughing up there. The afterlife just got a whole lot funnier.
I already miss our nearly daily emails and all those forwards that used to drive me crazy. I loved telling the not so naughty jokes you sent to my classes and will miss sending jokes to you and having you tell me that you already knew that one. When I was a child you even taught me naughty songs like “Old Mrs Bliss.” When I turned sixteen you took me to a restaurant where I could experience a 3-course meal so I would have some “class.” Spending summer weekends at the lake cottage that you and John rented was very special.
I’m so glad we got to say “Goodbye” when you decided to go to Hospice. You have been fun, independent and strong and you left this life on your own terms. I am now the caretaker of your true stories.
May your spirit soar!
