Darryl passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 11th, 2020 at 78 years old. Loving husband of Kathleen (nee: Parks) for 49 years. Proud stepfather of Susan (Bill) Otis and Robert (Rick) Last. Amazing Grandpa to Kyle (Gabby) Kowalkowski & Ryan (Daniel) Lloyd. Special Great Grandpa to Arya Kowalkowski. Further survived by many special lifelong friends.
Darryl was retired from the Milwaukee Fire Department after proudly serving for 35 years. He truly loved his MFD family. He loved bicycling and camping with family & friends in Door County. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Join us for a celebration of Darryl’s life on February 27th, 2020 with visitation from 4-6 PM. Brief service with memories, food & drinks at 6 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Milwaukee Fire Historical Society or MFD Honor Guard.
Darryl was the one person you knew who would always make you feel welcome, always treated you like a friend. He was a lifelong friend to my brother Jim. So many of those guys are gone now and I know he’s up in heaven with the rest of them, sitting down and talking about the “old times”. R.I.P. Darryl, you will be missed.
