David A. Newby

Reunited with his loving parents, Robert and Josephine (nee Mattaino) Newby on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the age of 80 years.  Dear brother of Rose (James) Anderson.  Loving companion of Tillie Sosnowski.  Cherished friend of Kris, Laurie, Heather, Joe, Mary, Lizzie, Christine, John, and Kimberly Further survived by the Sosnowski family (Becky, Melissa, Sherry, Angelina and Shaun), his co-workers and bowling buddies, and other friends and relatives.

David was very active in Special Olympics and EasterSeals, he enjoyed attending bowling outings and dances with his friends.  David enjoyed going to work at Eisenhower and sharing about the projects that he worked on.  David was also an avid sports fan and loved watching and cheering on his favorite Wisconsin teams.

David approached every day with a sense of appreciation and a smile on his face, he taught those around him about enjoying the simple pleasures life offers.  He will be missed by many, but his kindness, selflessness, and smile will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A funeral service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 16880 West National Avenue, New Berlin 53151 on Monday, September 23^rd.  Visitation will be from 2-3pm, with a service at 3pm, followed by a dinner reception.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in David’s name can be made to Special Olympics or Easterseals of Southeastern Wisconsin.
