Age 75, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 1st, 2021.  Dave was a beloved family member, friend, teacher and mentor to so many.  He spent over 30 years as a social studies teacher, baseball and basketball coach at Milwaukee Marshall High School. Even in retirement his love of sports continued, playing senior softball, and officiating both softball and basketball.  He was happiest spending time with his friends, talking to his son on the phone and umpiring softball.  He is survived by his only child Michael (Julie) Christiansen, siblings Kay, Gary (Francisca) and Eric (Linda) and many other extended family members.

Services will be held Friday, August 6th, 2021 at the FUNERAL HOME (16880 W. National Ave.) from 4pm to time of prayer service at 6pm.  A separate Celebration of Life memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 11th, 2021 and all are welcome (details to follow).

To me Dave was the epitome of a class act.
He was a pleasure to talk to every time I saw him at the ballpark.
He will be missed. Rest in peace Dave!

Only knew Dave for about 6 years when started playing Senior Softball. He was one of the nicest men I ever met. It was always a pleasure to be around him. He was one hell of an umpire but even a better man. Just a few Wednesdays back he celebrated, ;to my surprise, his 75th birthday., He didn’t look a day over 70. I guess when our Lord and Savior wants you, he is going to take you. I will miss you Dave, so until we meet again, rest in peace. Prayers and thoughts to you and your family.
