Age 76 passed away Monday July 25, 2005 at Ridgewood Care Center. David was born on October 7, 1928 in Racine to Harold and Freda nee Kortemeier Schoeppe. On March 20, 1954 he was united in marriage to Ruth Erickson. David owned and operated Way-A-Head Farms in Caledonia. He was a former member of the Franksville Businessmen?s Association. He was presently a member of the Caledonia Lions Club and until his stroke 9 years ago was an active member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church as an usher and on the church council and participated in other activities. He was also a member of the 3D?s Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife Ruth, daughters Barbara Bruce Irish and Elizabeth Dave Carleton, 7 grandchildren Matt, Karl, Jenny, Grace, Peter, Andy, Kirsten and his sisters Lois Prott, Carol Sparapani. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Roy.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday July 30 at Evangelical United Methodist Church 11th and Main Street, with visitation from 2-4 PM with services at 4PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The National Stroke Association, Caledonia Lions Club and the 3D?s Sunday School Class of E.U.M..
