Born to Eternal Life on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Crane) for 55 years. Dear father of Kathy (Kenneth) Lang, Vicki (Michael) Strieter and Debbie (Alan) Yerges. Proud Grandpa of Kaitlyn, Ryan Strieter and Brittany, Stephanie Yerges. Survived by his brother Russell (Donna) Lovett. Brother in law of Gilbert Crane, Audrey (Richard) Knopp, Bliss (Maureen) Crane, Dennis (the late Patsy) Reetz, Darlene (the late Adrian) Crane and the late Dean Crane. Nephew of Ardell Albers. Further survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, other relatives and many special friends.
Dave was a faithful member and past president of the Men’s Club of Woodlawn Lutheran Church which he was a member of 52 years. He was a proud Navy Veteran, and had the opportunity to go on the Vet’s Roll trip to Washington DC. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 8. Dave enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities, dartball, playing cards, traveling, golf, bowling, activities with his friends and seasonal camping with his Dell Boo Campground family in Baraboo, WI. He loved sports, especially his Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He also loved to volunteer at the Waukesha Food Pantry. He was a retired Tool & Die Maker at Ehlert Tool for over 35 years and a Transportation Driver for Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
Preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Mary Lovett and mother in law Clara (Rollo) Bryant.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and nurses at the ProHealth/UW Cancer Center in Pewaukee for their loving care during his battle with advanced stage lung cancer.

Visitation will be held Thursday Sep. 7th at the FUNERAL HOME from 5-7PM and again on Friday from 9-11AM at WOODLAWN LUTHERN CHURCH, 2217 S. 99th St. West Allis with a Funeral Service at 11AM. Private family interment Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Neshkoro, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Woodlawn Lutheran Church or the ProHealth Care Foundation are greatly appreciated.
