Groth, David Marvin “Dave”
David passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Froedtert Hospital, age 76 years, 1 day after his 54th wedding anniversary. He was born July 22, 1945 and grew up on the south side of Milwaukee. He met his future wife, Kathy (nee Kelm), at Muskego Beach Hall in 1964 and they married in 1967. After living and working as a Police Officer in Milwaukee for 34 years, David and Kathy retired to the condominiums built on Muskego Beach property, thus ending their life together where they met.
David was a loving father to his two daughters, Wendy (Thomas) Dahl and Kelly Groth and grandfather to Anna and Carter Dahl. He was so proud of them and made it his mission to spend time teaching them things and attending their school events.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Marvel Groth and his siblings, Robert Groth, Thomas Groth, and his sister Susan Hansen. He is survived by many other relatives and friends.
David was an avid fisherman and spent many summers fishing in Northern Wisconsin and on Lake Michigan catching huge salmon, walleye and perch that he often shared with friends. He also enjoyed watching his beloved Badger sporting events and spending time with his friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, December 11,2021 at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME (16880 W. National Ave.) from 10 AM until the time of service at NOON.
If so desired memorials to Hales Corners Lutheran Church appreciated.
