Dawn Renee Luty

Luty, Dawn R (nee Schwechel), 57, of Milwaukee, WI, was called home to the Lord on April 22, 2017 at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. Dawn suffered a severe brain hemorrhage on April 14 and never recovered. Beloved wife of Mark Luty for 21 years. Loving mother of Julianna Luty. Further survived by sister Lynnette (Robert) Scarcello. Dawn was sister-in law to the late Linda; Kathy (the late Mike); Jim and Janet; and Gary (the late Kelly) Luty. Dawn was also the aunt of Rachel Hahn, Rachel Lyons, Chris, Andy, Anne, and Mary Luty.
Dawn was born on December 13, 1959 to the late William and Doris Schwechel in Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from Martin Luther High School in 1977 and went on to obtain a degree in nursing from the Milwaukee County General Hospital’s School of Nursing.
Dawn practiced as an obstetrics and neonatal ICU nurse at St. Luke’s Medical Center for many years. It was there that she met her husband, Mark, who worked in the maintenance department. Dawn and Mark were married on October 28, 1995.
Their daughter Julianna was born in March of 1998. As a family, they enjoyed summer day trips to the lake and the Zoo, camping, and celebrating birthdays and holidays. Dawn had a love for animals, particularly cats, and passed this love on to her daughter.
Dawn was a devoted Mother, loving wife, beloved sister and Aunt. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The visitation will be held at Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Franklin, Wisconsin on Thursday, April 27 from 5:00-7:00 pm with a memorial service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
