Delores Jean “Dee” Poborsky

(Nee Cierniak) Born to Eternal Life on Friday, June 23, 2023, at the age of 84. Loving mother of Mark Poborsky, David Poborsky, Pamela (Thomas) Krenz, Jeffry Poborsky (Heather), Victoria (Niko Stojsavljevic) Nash, and Joseph (Michelle) Poborsky. Dear grandma of Angeline (Nick) Carr, Madalyn Krenz, Leo Krenz, Owen Poborsky, Samantha Poborsky, Brianna Poborsky, and Benjamyn Nash. Great grandma of “baby Lou-Lou” Carr. Sister of Jerome (Marie) Cierniak, Geraldine Cicero, the late James Urbancic, Debra (Mike) Moralez, and Darlene (Kenneth) O’Neill. Cherished Auntie Dee of many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Joseph Cierniak and Josephine (Joseph) Urbancic.

Dee’s love of her grandchildren was obvious in everything she did, they were her pride and joy. She shared her time and talents taking care of them and this was her true joy in life.

Dee spent many years working for the West Allis/West Milwaukee School District and later the Rec. Department where she made many friends along the way. After retirement she started part-time at Meadowmere Assisted Living and worked for 17 years where she loved meeting & helping people.

Everyone who knows her came away a friend and they remember how she made them laugh.

She loved to keep busy with crocheting and made countless afghans for family and friends, we know those afghans will be cherished for years to come and that will make her so happy.

Visitation to be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at ST. RITA’S PARISH, 2318 S. 61^st from 10am-12pm with the Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Rita’s Parish appreciated.
