Delores M. Acker

Delores M. Acker (Celesnik), 85, passed away Tuesday, January 9th, 2024. Loving wife of the late James Sr. Loving mother to Debra (James) Dabbs, James Acker Jr., Eva (Richard) Schultz, and Wayne (Karen) Acker. Loving grandmother of Jennifer (Clint) Stork, Steven and Collin Acker, Jessica Schultz (Sam Heine), Joshua Schultz, and Amber (Joe) Mrnak, Ashley, Alison, and Abbey Acker. Sister of Betty Tobiasz and sister-in-law to Gale (Mary) Acker.

Preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Jenny Celesnik, sister, Micky (Tom) Novotny, brother-in-law, Jerome Tobiasz, sister-in-law, Joyce Griffin, and daughter-in-law, Melissa Acker. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Delores was an avid gardener and no weed was safe when she was around! It didn’t matter if the weeds were in her yard, someone else’s yard or even public property, if she saw them, she picked them!

Delores was a beautiful person through and through. Everyone that came into her home was accepted and welcomed with open arms.

She was a very strong woman. Her faith and family meant everything to her. She was a feisty person with a great sense of humor. Many times when she was surprised by something you would hear her say “Holy Balls” or Holy Peckeroo’s.” She was very accepting of what came her way in life and was also known to say “Even the tough times were good because we got through them!”

Delores will be dearly missed by many but what a wonderful family reunion she is having in heaven!

A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 11 am – 1 pm at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME (9200 S 27^th St Oak Creek) with a memorial service at 1 pm.
