Dennis Michael Havey

Age 73, passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side on Wed., March 15, 2017. Special husband of Jean for 51 years. Preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Catherine Havey and brother, Patrick Havey. Survived by his wife, Jean, sister, Kathleen Paul, brother, Timothy Havey, and children, Daniel (Jenny) Havey, Laurie (Peter) Gabik and Michael (Andrea) Havey. Loving grandfather of 8 boys, Kevin and Joseph Havey, Nicholas and Jacob Gabik, Nathan Havey, Nong Boy Narangrithi, Travis Prueprak and Kade Kimberlin. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He had a very loving, close, extended family. Dennis was a kind, warm-hearted, funny, gentle man. He loved his guitar, Irish music, the woods, wildflowers, fishing and trains. He loved to read and he loved to learn, and he knew something about everything. He was a proud Teamster. He volunteered and gave much of his time back to his community. Dennis made the world a nicer, better place and will be greatly missed.

Visitation at THE FUNERAL HOME Thursday, March 23rd from 2-4 PM, with a Celebration of Life at 4PM. Please join the family immediately following the service at The Hideaway (9643 S. 76th St, Franklin) for Fellowship and Libations.
