Stram, Diane K.

(nee Karl) Born to Eternal Life on Friday June 14, 2019 at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife for 62 years of Ron. Loving mom of Randy (Joanne), Jill (Brian) Due, David, Lisa (Dave) Gohlke, Vicki (Jeff) Kipfmueller and Allison (Tom) Schneider. Dear grandma of Lauren, Caroline, Andrew, Christopher, Jaime, Michael, Kate, Jennifer, Jack, Spencer, Anika and Callie. Sister of Karen Toby and Jim (Barb) Karl. Sister in law of Jerry (Janet) Stram and Judy (Keith) Johnstone. Special friend of Carol Liebscher. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 at St. Alphonsus Church, 6060 W. Loomis Rd., Greendale, WI  from 9:30-10:45AM with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Lewy Body Dementia Association appreciated or plant some flowers in remembrance of Diane.

Diane’s greatest joy came from caring for others. She delighted in raising her 6 kids, spoiling her 12 grandkids and caring for cardiac patients and babies as a dedicated nurse. She was a go-getter who could do anything with her and Ron’s hard work. There wasn’t a project too big! Diane enjoyed tennis, reading, crafting, painting and gardening. Special thanks to the Hales Corners Care Center staff for the extraordinary care provided. You’re all wonderful and appreciated.

Your mom was a wonderful woman and a hard worker! In addition to all of the crafts etc you listed here, I also recall her giving perms to many of us swimming girls. She had such a big heart and welcomed all of your friends. Keep your eyes open for simple little reminders of her. She will always be beside you. Love you all!

David and family, You have our deepest sympathy at the loss of your dear Diane. Although we didn’t have the privilege of knowing her, the story of her life is a strong testament to a legacy of compassion and love that will carry on for many years to come. She must have been an amazing mother and wife.

    To Diane’s family:

Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I worked with Diane years ago in the Pediatric office. She was a great person and coworker. Loved her family and was very proud of you. Rest in peace, my friend.

    Dear Stram Family

My deepest sympathies to you and your families. She was such a wonderful, compassionate, sweet lady! My favorite memories have to be her always coming to us MacKenzie girls aid each time one of us got hurt (which for me was pretty often) I just told my kids the other day about the time she gave me “butterfly stitches” on the island in our kitchen 😉
Her memories and stories will live on for years to come!!

    May she rest in peace

To the Stram Family, my sincerest condolences for the loss of Diane. I have so many fond memories of Mrs Stram as I was growing up on Thorncrest Drive. She was so warm, caring, and had a wonderful sense of humor. I remember pool parties at the Strams’ (and Bachs’) and how my mom would call Mrs Stram whenever a neighborhood nurse was needed. Thank you, Mr and Mrs Stram, for generously letting us swim in your pool all summer long! Childhood on Thorncrest would not have been the same without Mrs Stram.
