Age 79, of Brookfield, Wisconsin peacefully passed away at home on Monday, October 31, 2016.
He was born in Milwaukee to the late Charles and Margaret Witt, on November 16, 1936. Don was the youngest of five sons.

After service in the Army, he married Kristine”Kris”(Schnabel) Witt on May 27th, 1967.
His love of, and devotion to his wife and family will always fill our hearts as he instilled gratefulness.

Beloved father of Johanna(Chris) Havelka, Karl Witt, and John(Sheila) Witt. Proud grandfather of Hayden, Sage, Gabe, Konrad, and Nathan. Cherished friend of his nephew, Chuck. Further survived by many loved family members and friends.

Don’s career in art took him from his first piece chosen and featured in the 1957 Milwaukee Journal Calendar through his business in commercial art known as Don Witt Photo Retouching, Inc.

Fondly remembered by family and friends for his silly sense of humor, he was a loyal Wisconsinite, a proud Milwaukeean, and of course, a true Packer Fan.

Don’s creative spirit and love will be celebrated on Saturday, November 12th, at 12(Noon). A short memorial in his honor will begin at 1:30PM. Both will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in New Berlin.

The family would like to give special thanks to Horizon Hospice for the care they provided. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project are appreciated.
