Donald E. Barg, 83, of Liverpool, NY, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Huntington Living Center in Waterloo, NY. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Donald retired in 1989 after 40 years with the General Electric Company?s Heavy Military Department as an Electrical Engineer and was a member of the GE ELFUN Society. He served in the Pacific Theater aboard the USS Block Island during WWII. After his military service he completed his education and was a 1949 Graduate of Marquette University receiving his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering. Donald was a charter member of Cross of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Liverpool, holding many offices throughout the years. Surviving are his wife of 58 years Evelyn L. nee Martz Barg, son, Douglas A. Deborah Barg of Seneca Falls, NY, daughter, Gale A. Michael R. Dom of Kingman, AZ, three grandchildren, Michael C. Amy Barg, Gregory S. Barg, Kelley E. Barg, two great-grandchildren, Madelyn R. Barg and Jackson A. Barg.

Visitation will be held on Friday, from 4-7 PM, at the funeral home. Interment at Good Hope Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Cross of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8131 Soule Road, Liverpool, NY 13090 or to one?s charity of choice.
